How a Small Team Ships Faster with AI

Three principles W Labs learned over the past year of weaving AI tools into our real development workflow.

Workflow before tools

New AI tools launch every week, but switching tools doesn’t make a team faster. The first thing we did was sketch, on paper, how an idea becomes a ticket, a ticket becomes code, and code reaches production. Only then could we see where AI actually belonged.

Three principles we hold to

  1. People decide; AI prepares. AI drafts the first pass of specs, tests, and review comments, and the owner always makes the final call.
  2. Speed without verification isn’t speed. A change only counts as done once it passes an E2E test and a screenshot comparison.
  3. We write it down in two languages. Writing in both Korean and English keeps clients and partners working from the same context.
